Seems like a good idea to me, feel free to flame away and tell me why it wont work. With the added benefit of being able to save and transfer data, and check the weather, markets, etc. The tablet would then simply act as a user interface and control device. ![]() You need a "box" for the gyros and such anyway so it seems, to me anyway, that it would be relatively simple to include the gps receiver and any other guidance specific electronics in that device and have only a usb cable connecting to the tablet. It got me wondering why someone hasn't developed an app and associated hardware to use an ipad or android based tablet for autosteer. I've noticed agricultural related apps for tablets and phones seem to be popping up all over the place now. Its gotten to the point where I'm using it more than him so I have decided to make my own. I have followed agtalk for years and posted question in the past under my dad's handle. ![]() Posted 18:49 (#3623631) Subject: Why not design an autosteer system that uses an ipad/android tablet?įirst off an introduction, Im a 22 year old graduate of Kemptville college and am now back home farming full time.
